NAOMI SIMONE
I’m Naomi, a newly launched fashion designer who has previously experience in arts and crafts, such as bookbinding, jewellery making, sculpting, painting. After a few years of finding my flow, this has eventually led me to the world of fashion. I’m highly inspired by multiple eras of fashion, film and theatrical costumes and folklore, which show through my designs and also display elements of fantasy and whimsical motifs. The fabrics I use vary from silks, satins, velvet, lace, and other materials that are appropriate when designing specific garments. Fashion is more than just fabric to me; it is a way for me to feel safe expressing who I truly am visually for others to see and has gotten me through a lot of tough times. I think it is important for people, no matter who or where they are, to be able to feel joy in portraying themselves as they wish, and I hope whoever wears or sees my designs would feel confident and allow themselves to embrace and express their own style and personality freely.

At Adaptive UK it’s our mission to combine function with fashion. We want to help parents and carers to dress children who have physical limitations with more ease, less pain and discomfort. While also ensuring children can still wear fashionable clothing. Our multi award winning adaptive and sensory clothing range, does just that.
All of our clothing has been designed to be indistinguishable from traditional attire and school uniform and comes with no itchy and annoying seams or washing labels, as well as a soft and gentle fabric. We understand the stress of dressing a child with traditional un-adapted clothing and also the stress that getting dressed can have on children with autism or sensory issues, that’s why all of our range has been designed not only to provide comfort and easier dressing but also to promote a level of independence in getting dressed. All my life I have always represented myself with the clothes I wear, there's nothing I love more than making an iconic fashion statement. Growing up in care, I was very limited to what I could wear as money was always limited so I could never really express myself with the clothes I love!
